Do You Know Your Fashion History?

FASHION HISTORYFashion has been fascinating to people over the decades and as far back as anyone can remember it has always played a role in society. From queens to first ladies, it has always captivated everyone’s attention with the different trends going around, no matter what year it is, past, present, or future. All along the world there are museums dedicated to fashion history and present fashion trends.

In addition to the fashion clothes and accessories that are available there is also a wide selection of magazines that were offered to the town’s people in the early twentieth century. Many royal fashion clothes and accessory accounts that date back to the early century from the tailors and designers have not been translated into modern day English, so they are often difficult to read.

Up until the sixteenth century where fashion was recorded using written records or drawings fashion has been recorded and found using metalwork, embroideries, brass rubbings, cave drawings, mosaics, ceramics, weaving, sculpture, tombs, and wood carvings as well as many other ways to express fashion.

Some clothing artifacts from before 1600 AD have survived and are on display in glass boxes across the world in fashion museums. While these are old and only due to extreme dry or extreme cold the clothing sometimes survives and we gain knowledge of present fashions.

A lot of the time hard body jewelry or jewelry off of the clothing remains and after doing some research, historians are able to make a conclusion on how their fashion might have been around that time.
